Our Work

We were setup to empower women, refugees and Asylum seekers coming from affected areas in Africa to integrate with their community and empower those particularly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, victims of rape to eradicate poverty, overcome stigma and integrate with their communities.

We have run different projects such as our Integration project, funded by the Big Lottery where we have supported our fellow women to learn ways of overcoming stigma and building their confidence and self-esteem.

We have also run series of sessions relating to housing, law and money to enable them to learn how the British System works and also ways of budgeting their money. Health sessions were also offered to enable them improve their quality of life.

Tackling FGM, a project funded by Rosa, has enabled our fellow women to acquire some knowledge relating to their rights and be able to stand up for them.

Our tutorial project, supported and funded by BBC Children in Need, allows us to help our children to boost their marks in school and seize opportunities to move to further education.
